Salland is a historical dominion located in the west and north of the province of Overijssel, Netherlands. Salland Engineering's headquarter is located in Zwolle. Zwolle is a beautiful municipality 120 kilometers northeast of Amsterdam and the capital city of Overijssel. Zwolle has about 120,000 citizens.

The history of Salland goes back to the early Middle Ages. It is probably named after the Salian Franks, who are thought to originate from Salland. The Salian Franks or Salii were a subgroup of the early Franks. From the 3rd century on, the Salian Franks appear in the historical records as warlike Germanic people and pirates who stood their own against the Roman Empire. No longer preoccupied with fending off the Romans, today, the engineers of Salland Engineering are aggressively pioneering new solutions to meet the ever growing challenges of modern day semiconductor testing.
