Electronics Production Engineer

As the company grows, we are looking for an Electronics Production Engineer to. A solution-oriented technician with an eye for detail. Someone who enjoys analysing, performing delicate work, and tackling technical challenges.
At our Manufacturing department, we assemble, calibrate, and test our own products. These products are all high-tech test instruments, which are developed according to the highest quality standards. These high-density and extremely accurate instruments – such as source measurement units (SMU’s), digital I/O, waveform generators and digitizers – are used to test high-end chips that enable the latest technological innovations in the semiconductor industry.
If one of our products breaks down somewhere in the world, it is returned to Zwolle, where you, as an Electronics Production Engineer, will repair it. Moreover, as a born technician, you will support your colleagues from Hardware Development and Instrument Solutions with the assembly and repair of prototypes. Additionally, you work closely with partners and suppliers, including those who produce and assemble the circuit boards for us.
What you’ll be doing in your role:
- Perform visual inspections of incoming electronic products or circuit boards. These inspections are conducted according to international quality standards;
- Analyse and diagnose products, test them in test setups, and find the root-cause;
- Perform repairs and calibrations on products;
- Component soldering and final product assembly;
- Check the progress and quality of your own work;
- Perform facility-related tasks, such as maintaining and testing the systems in the building (air conditioning, intrusion alarm, and fire alarm);
- Manage contact with facility suppliers;
- Take care of the administrative processing of your activities;
- Support colleagues within the engineering team;
What we ask from you:
- An MBO or Bachelor’s degree in electronics/electrical engineering or have gained relevant knowledge through work experience. A solid knowledge of electronics is required;
- Precise, accurate and critical on the quality of your work, also on repetitive tasks. You see it as a great challenge to complete your work neatly and on time;
- Possess well-developed problem-solving skills;
- You persist when a solution is not immediately found but also ask for help in time and when needed;
- You have professional technical knowledge and a passion for electronics;
- English communication is not a problem for you.
