As SE-H8000 replaces your Ando series 8000 Host-system(s) it will also reduce the downtime and make your tester part of your existing local network, creating the possibility for monitoring your testers performance on a remote site or even worldwide by e-mail. As SE-H8000 runs on a modern operating system, you have all the advantages of the operating system while using SE-H8000. You can gather statistics while running, debug programs using all utilities provided with the operating system, view and store any information produced by test programs, and much more. Product description Salland Engineering developed SE-H8000 as a full-featured Ando host computer replacement, which can be used with many Ando testers. The product replaces the complete host system with a standard PC workstation using a new host computer interface board developed by Salland Engineering. This interface board will be connected to the standard host computer interface cable to the tester(s) in the same way as the original host. The SE-H8000 replacement package will run on a (dual) Pentium system with the new Windows 2000 operating system to ensure the best performance and highest test time reduction. 
Software - Emulates a Nova processor as used in the Ando host computer. This means all standard available host software runs without modifications.

- The SE-H8000 system runs on "off the shelf" hardware platforms, so low maintenance costs when compared to the bulky, noisy and out-dated Ando host.
- The SE-H8000 can be easily networked to most types of network environments (UNIX or PC based)
- The printer is emulated, so all ASCII data you would normally send to this printer can be handled in different ways, for example send it to any printer on your network, save it to file, etc.
- Datalogs and summary data can be converted to STDF, Microsoft Excel or standard ASCII format. Furthermore, the test data can be post processed by user definable scripts (e.g. upload datalogs to a network server.)
- Real time analysis of tester data on remote workstation is possible
- Offline access to the host controller is possible via "off the shelf" remote access software
- An offline compiler is also available which reduces compilation time
