Salland Engineering's Space Projects

Salland Engineering is a young (founded in 1992) and dynamic engineering company with the mission to deliver High Quality and Turnkey Test Application support and ATE Products & Tools. Our main customer for space related projects is SRON (Space Research Organization Netherlands), working in close contact with other Dutch agencies and companies like NIVR, Fokker Space and TNO/TPD. We also have contacts with companies outside The Netherlands, such as Finavitec and VTT (Finland), Dornier (Germany), Litton and TRW (USA).

From ATE to Space

Salland has grown to a successful partner with a worldwide reputation and is one of the world's largest companies that offer Test Application support and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) Products & Tools for the semiconductor market. Salland is headquartered in The Netherlands with sister companies in Singapore and the USA to offer worldwide support.

Because of our known-how in the test business, we were contracted by SRON in 1993 to help develop the SCOE (Satellite Check Out Equipment) for SCIAMACHY (SCanning Imaging Absorption spectroMeter for Atmospheric CHartograpY). This was the start of a successful partnership in space related projects.

Knowledge and expertise

Over the years we have developed knowledge and expertise on a wide range of technology. Due to the demanding nature of today's competitive market, we are always investigating the latest promising developments for use in our projects. We have a vast expertise, both hard- and software, on the Wintel platform, but are also fluid on other platforms like UNIX, Linux and VAX/VMS. The program language of choice is C/C++, using the latest development tools (Microsoft Visual Studio, MFC). We also have a vast know-how on network protocols like TCP/IP, a must in nowadays projects, where multiple computers are linked together to perform the required tasks.
