Today most modern ATE systems are standardly equipped with networking features. However, the previous generation of ATE are equipped with tapes, local hard disks, or floppy drives. With the increasing complexity of the components, the test programs tend to get bigger and bigger, therefore increasing the need for centralized test program storage. The increase of total production volume and cost makes it necessary to monitor the efficiency of test equipment on the production floor more carefully. The need of development of units and tools to increase the life cyxle of the older generation testers is therefore a big market. With relatively low cost, it is possible to upgrade these testers with modern PC/SUN and Ethernet networking.

Salland Engineering is also active in the replacement market. Here the total replacement of the CPU or microprocessor unit is the main item. By replacing these units by more modern PC/SUN capabilities, it is possible to use all the common market PC/SUN software and tools. The SE-PROBE product is a wafer-mapping option for wafer-probers. This product integrates with a prober to add real time wafer mapping, networking connectivity, efficiency improving features and user friendliness to the prober. SE-PROBE currently supports the following probers: EG 20xx, KLA 1007, TEL 19S, TSK. New features are constantly being added to the product.
SEDana is a Fast, Easy, Practical tool for statistical analysis of ATE test data. Salland Engineering developed SEDana based on a long experience and knowledge of test equipment, test program development and statistical analysis of test data. So it’s written from the engineer point of view instead of a "theoretical" SW-package..
Salland Engineering also has experience in developing space related products. Our main customer for space related projects is SRON (Space Research Organization Netherlands), working in close contact with other Dutch agencies and companies like NIVR, Fokker Space and TNO/TPD.
